The main goal of teaching Islam to Muslim students is to instill within them an understanding that Islam permeates every aspect of their life, spiritually and practically. Students learn the basics of Tawheed, Fiqh, and the Sirah of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. This includes the fundamental notions of ethical behavior and an understanding of how to live a moral, as well as active, civic life.
In addition, Quran recitation and memorization is taught. With this knowledge of the Quran, students are enabled to understand how the verses apply in their life.
To instill in students an appreciation of the Arabic language and an understanding that it is a critical part of their identity as Muslims. To motivate students to learn and appreciate Arabic because it is the language of the Quran, the Hadith, and the inhabitants of Janna.
Al-Israa School teaches 175 students, with 11 teachers and five teacher aides.
First semester starts the first week of September and second semester starts the first week of February.
